Lima, October 5, 2012. - Vichayito Bungalows & Tents by Aranwa in conjunction with the Fundación Ballena Azul (FBA) have been working on the campaign "Peru, Country of Whales" since late August. This initiative seeks to raise awareness among the population about the biodiversity in the Peruvian sea, including the humpback whale, this peculiar species that can be observed in the north coast of Peru between August and October every year.
This campaign also seeks to encourage the conservation of these species and its habitat, as well as raising public awareness through the knowledge of the marine fauna. This goal begins with the premise that to preserve you must love, and to love you must know. In this case, sustainable ecotourism is the key for bringing people to nature. Whale watching has special tours are characterized by sustainable and responsible attitude to whales and their ecosystem.
This natural phenomenon concludes in late October. Until then, Fundación Ballena Azul (FBA) will be providing information on its booth located in the Real Plaza Mall in the district of San Borja and in the Civic Center of Lima.
Vichayito Bungalows & Tents by Aranwa reaffirms its commitment with the environment and responsible tourism with its participation as lecturer on the “1st International conference of whales’ conservation and ecotourism practices in Latin America” held in The Universidad Científica del Sur in Lima. A conference that will join exhibitors from Brazil, rgentina, Chile and Ecuador. Aranwa expand its social and environmental responsibility with the upcoming opening of its new hotel in Paracas Bay in late 2013.
